Advertising/Posting Title Assistant Controller

Posting Summary

Responsible for management of the Offices of Tax Services, Treasury Management and Cashier, which includes functional responsibility for University tax planning and compliance, management of the University’s operating funds and debt service and compliance, and controls over the University’s assets and cash receipts. Reports to the University Controller.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field and four to six years’ related or specific experience with federal, state, and local taxes required. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code and income tax regulations is required, and knowledge of their applicability to tax-exempt organizations is essential.

Desirable Qualifications

CPA, MBA, and/or MS in Taxation.
Experience in a higher education environment.

Other Information

A 6-month probationary period is required. Occasional extended/weekend hours required.
