Posting Summary

Perform a variety of custodial cleaning services, in a team setting, to Administrative and Academic buildings in support of University facilities. Clean and maintain floor surfaces: dust mop, sweep, wet mop, top scrub, and buff floors and periodically strip floors of finish using powered scrubbing and burnishing machines. Clean water fountains, clean waste receptacles, and wash windows. Maintain safe and clean living, learning, and work environment. Remove trash and recycled items. May respond to after-hours emergency calls. May operate University vehicle. Actively engage in learning and practicing principles of social justice and inclusion, environmental sustainability and delivering great customer service. Under the direct supervision of the Custodial Supervisor, support our department’s mission, “providing the University with a clean, safe, and healthy environment in which to live, learn and work.”

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Elementary school education required. Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one and driver’s check may be required. Lifting of up to 62.5 lbs. and pushing/pulling up to 70 lbs. occasionally required, specific physical requirements may apply based on specific job functions. Initial employment contingent upon successful completion of physical screening and background check. Ability to demonstrate ongoing commitment to workplace diversity, sustainability and delivering exceptional value and great experience to customers.
