Posting Summary

Under the supervision of the Facilities Projects Coordinator and the direction of the Moving Coordinator, respond to departmental moving needs: assemble and set-up furniture; pics-up and deliver furniture, appliances and supplies; safely use appropriate moving equipment and safe lifting techniques; and operate cube moving truck. Clean, maintain and organize departmental furniture storage rooms and maintain inventory of furniture. Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

High School education or GED diploma, or education sufficient to provide adequate skills in math, reading, and problem solving; ability to communicate verbally and in writing and one year related experience required. Must be able to lift and carry 100 lbs. Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain and driver’s check may be required to drive departmental cube truck. Must submit to a driver’s license background check prior to hire.
Demonstrated knowledge, skills and ability to perform safe lifting techniques and safe use of furniture moving equipment. Knowledge of computer applications such as e-mail and spreadsheets. Initial employment contingent upon successful completion of physical screening.

Desirable Qualifications

Demonstrated commitment to diversity, social justice, and fostering a collaborative multicultural environment highly desirable. Supervisory experience desirable.
