Posting Summary

Provide analytical and data reporting for institutional and HR initiatives and requests. Maintain quality, integrity and consistency of data within departmental and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS). Serve as first point of contact for institutional data requests and collect, compile, and deliver data from a variety of database sources for compliance and institutional reporting purposes. Triage and prioritize requests; utilize technical expertise, tools and systems; collaborate and interact with customers to interpret requests; and utilize discretion in distributing confidential and sensitive information. Stay current with related state and federal laws and regulations; (i.e. Employment or Benefits as it affects records and processes).
Supervise the Benefits Processing and Reporting Team. Provide expertise in benefit related processes, triage, and enhancements and modifications to workflow and systems. Responsible for hiring and training, ensuring work coverage, and evaluating performance of nonexempt support staff.
Collaborate with internal and external IT providers and other campus stakeholders to identify and implement efficiency measures and ensure that the University’s systems and processes are consistent with industry best practices. Perform or share multiple roles on projects, including project management, business process analysis, systems configuration, testing, training, and query/report writing.
Reports to the Director of Benefits, Compensation and HRIS.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management Information Systems, or related field and two to four years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources or comparable experience including some previous supervision. Database administration skills and proficiency with database and spreadsheet applications required. Proficiency in report development and delivery, and working with HR systems. Demonstrated ability to work independently to resolve complex problems. Effective written and verbal communication with demonstrated ability to serve as effective team member on collaborative projects. Demonstrated success working with a range of culturally and ethnically diverse populations and evidence of commitment of fostering a collaborative multicultural environment.
