Advertising/Posting Title Business Support Generalist

Posting Summary

Perform finance, budget and human resource transactions (across all funds) in support of designated customer units of the Administrative Business Service Center (ABSC). Initiate, verify, and process financial transactions and pre- and post-audits; review, analyze and reconcile accounts; resolve discrepancies pertinent to financial transactions and reporting and ensure compliance with University and regulatory provisions. Input data to initiate recruitment and employee changes; complete forms and process terminations.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, Human Resources or related field and one to three years of related experience required. Demonstrated commitment to customer service required. Effective communication, analytical, and team-collaboration skills required. Proficient in spreadsheet, database and word-processing applications. Attention to detail and effective organizational skills required. Ability to effectively perform duties within deadline-driven environment, with frequently changing customer demands, required.

Desirable Qualifications

Knowledge of Microsoft Office software highly desirable. Knowledge of PeopleSoft and PeopleAdmin desirable.

Other Information

A 6-month probationary period is required.
