Posting Summary

Process and coordinate recruitment actions for faculty within the Department of Surgery from identification of need to beyond the orientation of the hire. Assist search committees with procedure, research and advertising. Coordinate travel for candidates, develop and execute itineraries and schedules. Coordinate and implement budget and business processes, position approvals and logistical details. Prepare and route hiring documentation; perform on boarding processes. Coordinate appointment, reappointment, promotion, and tenure process within the Department of Surgery.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Associate’s degree in a related field and three years’ experience. Proficiency in various computer applications: word processing, email and database management. Effective communication skills necessary. Must be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage a large workload within tight deadlines. Ability to work independently to plan, organize, prioritize, schedule, coordinate and make decisions relating to assigned tasks. Effective customer service orientation with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.

Desirable Qualifications

Previous experience in higher education or a health care setting, experience taking direction from multiple people highly desirable.
