Posting Summary

Provide direct support to faculty and graduate teaching assistants on instructional technology, especially the learning management system. Provide unit-level support for The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) program enrollment management, communication and client data tracking. Consult with faculty to analyze instructional problems and identify strategies to meet pedagogical goals. Contribute to unit-level research and testing of new instructional technologies. Develop supporting documentation and resources.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s degree in an educational technology-related field and one to three years of experience providing instructional technology direct support required. Knowledge of learning management systems and other educational technologies required. Experience in researching and resolving technology issues required. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, as demonstrated through work with both technical and non-technical colleagues, required.
Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, analytical skills, and ability to collaborate as part of a team and work independently required.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience in higher education environment highly desirable. Working knowledge of instructional design theories, models, strategies, and practices as well as prior teaching experience and/or experience training instructors, such as pedagogically-effective use of technology, highly desirable. Experience with educational multimedia, WordPress, Drupal, Blackboard and SharePoint desirable.
