Posting Summary

As a member of the Technical Support Team, provide high-level technical support for Research Center for Children, Youth and Families, Inc. (RCCYF) software products and serve as the point person for the testing of new RCCYF products and enhancements to existing products. In support of the Customer Service Team, assist in the dissemination, processing, and shipping of standardized assessment materials to customers throughout the world. Utilize high analytical skills to determine cause of software technical issues and select the best solution to resolve them. Work independently to prioritize work and make decisions regarding work methods. The position has access to sensitive information used within the framework of departmental guidelines. Functional supervision is provided by the IT Team Lead and Customer Service Team Lead; this position reports to the IT and Operations Manager.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s degree in technology related field and one to three years’ related experience in technical support or customer service required. Proficiency in standard business software applications required. Effective interpersonal and communication skills, to include ability to communicate mental health assessment material to diverse customers and demonstrate responsible judgment in utilizing sensitive information. Accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to cope with multiple task demands required. Ability to lift/move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds required.

Desirable Qualifications

Prior experience in creating test scripts and testing software highly desirable.

4 month probationary period is required

Special Conditions Contingent on continued funding, Occasional overtime/weekend hours required, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees
