Posting Summary

The Senior Advisor for Strategic Diversity, Assessment and Research will serve as a member of the VPHRDMA Leadership Team. Provide intellectual leadership for diversity and inclusion initiatives that align with the University’s priorities. Work closely with the VP for HRDMA and campus partners to champion diversity and inclusion. Manage the implementation of the Division’s University-wide diversity initiatives (i.e., plans, blue prints and frameworks) which are critical to supporting the University’s strategic action plan. Take a lead role in the implementation, maintenance and all other aspects of the President’s Commission on Inclusive Excellence (PCIE), including institutional diversity and inclusion assessment and research. Reports directly to the Vice President for Human Resources, Diversity & Multicultural Affairs (VPHRDMA).

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Master’s degree in Higher Education or related field and four to five years of relevant, successful and progressive experience in an organizational leadership position with responsibility for diversity and inclusion initiatives and programs. Demonstrated experience managing a comprehensive diversity plan, and implementing organizational development and institutional changes related to diversity. Demonstrated and progressive achievements in higher education employment with tangible results are essential. Demonstrated ability to teach and facilitate diversity related training programs is required. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, social justice issues, and fostering a collaborative, multicultural environment.
