Posting Summary

Facilitates faculty/academic HR processes and provides analysis and data management of faculty personnel actions for the faculty labor contract. Serves as primary contact with University administrators for all faculty HR processes. Reviews, analyzes and makes recommendations for personnel documents including ePARs (electronic personnel action requests). Produces and analyzes reports regarding faculty personnel actions, including faculty union membership lists and appointments. Provide advice and recommendations to department administrators to support their creation and submission of accurate personnel documents. Coordinates, advises and trains others on faculty processes such as those relating to union dues/fees, annual faculty evaluations, union eligibility determinations, earnings codes, summer retirement contributions, and leaves of absence. Provides input on faculty HR processes. Serve as liaison for resolution of salary and/or benefit discrepancies.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of experience required. Effective organizational skills, ability to work independently, and prioritize and meet deadlines. Effective interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with spreadsheet and database application required. Demonstrated ability to serve effectively on diverse teams and work groups. Ability to work effectively with a wide range of University students, personnel, and affiliates, and across multiple disciplines. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, social justice issues, and fostering a collaborative, multicultural environment.
