Posting Summary

Provide programming and technical application analyst support for production business systems throughout the entire Software Development Lifecycle. Support existing management information systems and design/deploy new technologies. Assist internal clients with the management of business information, business records and transactions. Help develop and manage the University’s overall information architecture. Report to the Business Systems Team Assistant Director.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s degree in technology field and four years of experience supporting applications throughout the software development life cycle. Effective ability to prioritize work with competing deadlines and with unanticipated changes beyond the control of client departments required. Ability to effectively communicate with technical and functional stakeholders.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience with object oriented programming languages or scripting tools such as PeopleCode, Java, SQR, Groovy, Ruby or Perl.
Experience with XML, XSLT, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
Experience with the ORACLE RDBMS and related tools; strong knowledge of database architecture and SQL or PL/SQL.
Experience supporting PeopleSoft’s Financials, EPM, and/or HCM systems.
Experience in the Security Administrator and/or Server Administrator (PSAdmin) roles for PeopleSoft or the equivalent in other large ERP system.
Experience creating data models and reports in BI Publisher or other business intelligence or reporting solutions.
Business process redesign skills and experience.
Knowledgeable of the general terms, business processes and regulations of the business operations that use ERP systems, either as a functional professional or IT support partner for Finance, HR, payroll, accounting, supply chain, etc.

Other Information

A 6-month probationary period is required.

*If a sufficiently qualified pool of applicants is not obtained, candidates may be considered at the Information Technology Professional level. Qualifications required are a Bachelor’s degree and one to three years of related experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
