Posting Summary

To provide research assistance in the Substance Abuse Treatment Center on a grant-funded research project aimed to evaluate an interim buprenorphine dosing regimen for reducing illicit opioid use and other risks during waitlist delays for opioid agonist maintenance. Recruit, screen, and interact with research participants, conducting urinalysis testing, study visits and follow-up assessments, and performing data collection and management with ongoing supervision from the Principal Investigator.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as behavioral or biological sciences, psychology, social work or medical field and one to three years related experience required. Effective interpersonal skills to work with challenging populations and ability to maintain respectful interactions with participants required.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience in research desirable; specific experience with behavioral treatments highly desirable. Experience with clinical populations desired. Effective interpersonal skills to work with challenging populations and have the ability to maintain a thoughtful and respectful interaction style with participants.

Experience with data entry, data management and graphing.

4 month probationary period is required

Special Conditions Contingent on continued funding, Occasional overtime/weekend hours required, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees
