Advertising/Posting Title HR/Payroll Specialist

Posting Summary

Perform personnel activities and assist Physical Plant Department (PPD) in support of the University’s human resource policies and procedures. Coordinate the onboarding and off-boarding efforts for the Department. Oversee payroll process and ensure consistency of payroll activities throughout the Department. Reports to the Assistant Director for Technology, Innovation and Administration and requires active engagement in learning and practicing principles of social justice and inclusion, environmental sustainability and delivering great customer experience.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration and one to three years’ experience in payroll processing, business/accounting processes required. Proficient in spreadsheet, word processing and database applications. Effective organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
