Posting Summary

Assist with program management, academic year and summer college advisement/ advocacy, curriculum and program design, and university and outreach efforts. Participate in the recruitment, selection, enrollment, advisement and follow-up of the total funded number of program participants for the TRIO Upward Bound Program. In conjunction with the Program Manager, plan the Saturday and Summer College curricula, services, and activities. Assist in planning, supervising, and evaluating academic year and summer program field trips, events, programs and services. Carry out the ASP mission, which includes a commitment to diversity, social justice, and to fostering a collaborative, multicultural environment. Reports to the Upward Bound Program Manager.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, or related field and three years of related experience required. Demonstrated commitment to addressing diversity concerns as well as sensitivity to individuals who have limited income and/or are from educationally disadvantaged backgrounds required. Valid driver’s license required. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion required.

Desirable Qualifications

Training and/or experience with student assessment, program evaluation, social justice, multicultural sensitivity, and knowledge of TRIO desirable.

Other Information

Some evenings and weekends required.

Special Conditions Weekend work required, Contingent on continued funding, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period
