Posting Summary

Provides functional and administrative supervision of three Residential Life facilities repairpersons to maintain and improve the living and learning environments for our resident students, as well as the work environment for staff, conference guests, and visitors Assists with hiring and training staff; and prioritizes schedules and assigns work and reports to the Associate Director for Facilities.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

High School diploma and four years’ trades and supervisory experience to include solid knowledge of building trades and pertinent building and life-safety codes. State of Vermont Asbestos Abatement Worker certificate for asbestos abatement and State of Vermont Essential Maintenance Practices certificate for lead paint abatement or ability to obtain within 6 to 12 months required. Lifting up to 50 – 80 lbs. required. Specific physical requirements may apply based on job functions. Ability to pass physical and to be fitted for respirator. Must be available for on-call work and to respond to after-hour and weekend emergencies. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion, and fostering a collaborative multicultural environment required.
